How much does a yacht charter cost in Monaco?
A day on the water from Port Hercule starts at €1,500 for a day boat and €10,000 for a crewed superyacht; a week runs from €25,000 – €65,000 for a 20–30 m motor yacht to €280,000 – €800,000+ above 45 m. Those are base charter fees: an APA of 25–35% and VAT are added on top.
Length is the first variable, season the second. The same yacht costs materially more in the last week of May, when the Grand Prix fills the harbour, and in late September during the Monaco Yacht Show, than she does in early June with the same weather. Age, refit history and the reputation of the crew move the figure inside the bracket, which is why two 35-metre yachts on the same quay can be €40,000 a week apart.
The additions are predictable once you know them. The APA is a float — 25–35% of the base fee, paid before departure and spent on your behalf by the captain on fuel, berthing, food and drink, with every expense itemised and the balance returned. VAT of 20% applies to the hire. A crew gratuity of 5–15% is customary at the end and entirely discretionary.
