Half-day and full-day options

A day rental flexes to the kind of day you want. A half-day of around four hours suits a morning swim and a beach-club lunch close to the principality, or a sunset cruise with drinks aboard. A full day opens the wider coast — a run west to Cap-Ferrat and Villefranche, time at anchor over clear water, and a relaxed return as the light turns gold. We set the departure to your plan, usually between nine and eleven in the morning, with later starts and sunset returns on request.

Both options are quoted as a single all-in figure with the skipper and fuel included, so you know the cost before you board. Half-days are the easy introduction; full days give the unhurried rhythm that makes the Riviera memorable, with lunch reservations and beach-club tables arranged ahead so nothing eats into your time on the water.

A typical day on the water

Most days begin with a late-morning departure from Port Hercule, cruising beneath the old town and the Casino quarter before turning along the coast. A first swim stop comes within the hour — the clear water off Cap-Ferrat or the calm of Villefranche bay are favourites — followed by lunch, either aboard or at a beach club we book for you.

The afternoon is yours: more swimming, paddleboards and snorkel gear, or a slow cruise toward Cap-d'Ail and Menton. The skipper shapes the route to the weather and the sea state, and you return to Monaco by early evening, or later if you have chosen a sunset finish.

No two days run quite the same. Some guests want a fast morning with the engines open and a lively beach club; others want to drift at anchor with a book and a long lunch. Families build the day around the children, with shallow, sheltered swim spots and an early return; couples often choose the golden-hour cruise back into Port Hercule. We listen first, then shape the day to suit you rather than a fixed programme.

Booking a day rental

Day rentals can often be arranged at short notice, sometimes for the next morning, though summer weekends and event weeks book up quickly. Around the Grand Prix in late May and the Yacht Show in September, demand peaks and we advise reserving well ahead. A deposit confirms the date and we handle the rest — skipper, route, gear and any extras.

Tell us your date, the number of guests and the kind of day you picture, and we return a clear quote, usually within the day. No licence and no experience are needed: the skipper handles the boat while you simply choose the pace and the places.

What we provide and what to bring

Every rental includes the skipper, fuel for the day, swim and snorkel gear, and clean towels aboard, with a cool box for drinks and ice. On the larger crewed boats we can add a chef for lunch, premium provisioning, paddleboards and seabobs, and we book beach-club tables or restaurant reservations ashore so the day flows without a pause. Tell us any dietary needs or a special occasion and we arrange it ahead.

You need bring only the essentials: sun cream, a hat and sunglasses, a light layer for the return, and a swimsuit. Soft bags are easier to stow than hard cases. Everything else — the route, the timing, the lunch, the safety briefing — is handled by the skipper, so you arrive at Port Hercule and simply step aboard.
